WebFeat Announces WebFeat 2 Technology New technology enables libraries to capture and report database usage
statistics from the database native interfaces |

“Today, it is more important than ever to have quick, reliable access
to database usage information,” said Todd Miller, Founder and CEO of
WebFeat. “Libraries have to make tough choices about database subscriptions,
and objective usage information is a key factor in the decision-making process.
WebFeat 2 enables libraries to report a wealth of usage statistics with a
single mouse click, ultimately helping libraries to cut costs intelligently
and effectively.”
For every database used, WebFeat 2 captures and reports the number of queries,
number of full record (full text) requests, number of next set requests,
search strings (with Boolean operators), and date/time stamp information.
WebFeat 2 can also track usage by individual library, branch, and remote
users. Reports are available through the web, which can be emailed, or
downloaded into spreadsheets or DBMS programs.
WebFeat 2 is available now for all new WebFeat systems and can be integrated
into existing WebFeat systems at no additional charge for the next ninety
days.
