WebFeat Receives Prestigious Horizon Award
Award Acknowledges WebFeat’s Support of the IFLA/SEFLIN International
Summit

Ft Lauderdale, FL USA November 24, 2002 — WebFeat is a recipient of the
2002 Horizon award from the Southeast Florida Library Information Network
(SEFLIN). The award recognizes WebFeat’s distinguished service for the
library network, including its support of the IFLA/SEFLIN International
Summit, held in April 2002.

the opportunity to participate in this very important event,” said Todd

More
than 150 librarians from 8 countries participated in the first IFLA/SEFLIN
International Summit on Library Cooperation in the Americas. This
international event was co-sponsored by the Southeast Florida Library Information
Network (SEFLIN), in cooperation with the International Federation of Library
Associations and Institutions (IFLA). The Summit was
held in Miami, on
the Biscayne Bay campus
of Florida International University April 17-20, 2002. The
theme of the event was "Models of Cooperation". The goal of the Summit was
to open a dialogue between U.S. libraries
and those in Latin America and
the Caribbean.

Director of SEFLIN.
WebFeat
and SEFLIN have collaborated on development of the ground-breaking MyLibraryService.org system, enabling Southeast
Floridians to access all 25 SEFLIN member library catalogs
simultaneously, with a single search. MyLibraryService.org also searches
a variety of information sources, including the Florida Memory Project historical
photographic database.
