WebFeat Launches "WebFeat Friendly" Partnership Program for Content Providers

Old Brookville, NY, October 25 , 2006 WebFeat, developer of the WebFeat™ and WebFeat Express™ Search Prisms, has launched the WebFeat Friendly Partnership Program for content providers. Through the WebFeat Friendly program, WebFeat and each partner content provider work together to ensure that the partner’s databases are optimized for use with the world’s leading federated search engine. Content providers who have already joined the WebFeat Friendly Partnership Program (and/or who are XML Gateway partners) include ABC-CLIO, Alexander Street Press, ARTstor, EBSCO, Elsevier, Facts on File, H.W. Wilson, IEEE, JSTOR, Lexis-Nexis, Naxos, NewsBank, and Thomson Gale.

The WebFeat Friendly program is designed to streamline the process of building and maintaining WebFeat systems. WebFeat Friendly partners’ databases can be configured in minutes using the new Express version of WebFeat’s Administrative Console (WAC). Additionally, WebFeat and its WebFeat Friendly partners maintain a technology relationship intended to optimize performance and uptime.

WebFeat is used by over 5,000 public, academic, government and Global 1000 libraries and information centers—including over half of the 20 largest US public libraries, 12 statewide library systems and 1 out of 10 Association of Research Libraries (ARL) institutions.
