Nominations Announced for 4th Annual WebFeat President’s Awards for Innovation

30 Libraries Honored for Innovation in Federated Search System

Old Brookville, NY, December 19, 2006 WebFeat President Todd Miller announced today the nominations for the 4th Annual WebFeat President’s Awards for Innovation. The awards recognize innovation in design and function in WebFeat clients’ state-of-the-art information systems. Winners will be announced at the annual President’s Awards Dinner ceremony to be held Saturday, January 20th, during the 2007 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle, Washington.

The WebFeat President’s Awards are presented to the libraries with the most innovative federated search systems in each of three categories—Academic Libraries, Public Libraries, and Statewide/Multi-library networks. This year’s nominees are:

The invitation-only festivities will take place with a private affair at Cascadia Restaurant – recently recognized by Bon Appetit Magazine, Esquire Magazine, Gourmet Magazine, the New York Times, Town & Country Magazine and Seattle Magazine as one of the top restaurants in Seattle. Award nominees represent the top innovators among the more than 5,000 leading academic, public, government and Global 1000 libraries and information centers that use WebFeat.
