Nominations Announced for 3rd Annual WebFeat President’s Awards for Innovation
Libraries honored for innovation in federated search systems
Old Brookville, NY, December 8 , 2005 WebFeat President Todd Miller announced today the nominations for the 3rd Annual WebFeat President’s Awards for Innovation. The awards recognize innovation in design and function in WebFeat clients’ state-of-the-art information systems. Winners will be announced at the annual President’s Awards Dinner ceremony
to be held Saturday, January 21st
during the 2006 ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
The WebFeat President’s Awards are presented to the libraries with the most innovative federated search systems in each of three categories—Public Libraries, Academic Libraries and Statewide/Multi-library networks. This year’s nominees are:

The invitation-only festivities will take place in a private dining room at Biga on the Banks restaurant – recently named by Gourmet Magazine as one of the top 5 restaurants in Texas. Award nominees represent the top innovators among the more than 2,500 leading public, academic, government and Global 1000 libraries and information centers that use WebFeat.
Past award recipients include: Chicago Public Library, King County Library System, San Francisco Public Library, Southeast Florida Library Information Network (SEFLIN), and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
