The WebFeat Proxy provides single sign-on authentication for remote users for your library's native database links. Users are no longer re-prompted for their barcodes every time they click a new database link. WebFeat Proxy handshakes seamlessly with your library's existing remote user authentication or "My Account" catalog login. Remote users are prompted once for authentication and that's it! Your users may search as many
databases as they wish, either through the WebFeat federated search or using each database's own native search interfaces - users are never re-prompted for authentication.
Best of all, WebFeat Proxy requires no installation! Simply add databases to your WebFeat system or portal using the WebFeat Menu Manager. Menu Manager is pre-loaded with URLs to thousands of databases, saving you the trouble of entering them - just pick your databases and go! Menu Manager can be used with or without WebFeat's federated search product - if your library is not ready for federated search, it can still enjoy the benefits of easy menu management and single sign-on remote authentication.
Features:
- Compatibility - Single sign-on for remote users for all authenticated resources!
- No-hassle set up - Transparent handshake with library’s existing remote authentication.
