WebFeat Debuts WebFeat Express at PLA
WebFeat President Todd Miller configures working system in minutes in front of live audience
WebFeat unveiled its newest federated search engine, WebFeat Express™, at the PLA 11th National Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. With WebFeat Express the power and promise of federated searching is no longer out of reach for budget-conscious libraries. WebFeat Express offers all the functionality of our original WebFeat Search Prism with a new, streamlined look and feel. Priced at just $7,950, WebFeat Express is the perfect choice for small to medium size libraries looking to maximize their e-resource investments.
At the heart of WebFeat Express is the new WAC Express administration console, which automates many of the time-consuming functions of building and maintaining a federated search engine. WAC Express dramatically decreases the turnaround time required to configure a federated search engine, thus reducing the associated cost. During the product launch reception held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel on March 23rd, 2006, WebFeat President Todd Miller demonstrated the ease of using the WAC Express administration console by configuring a WebFeat Express system from scratch in front of the live audience.
For additional convenience, WAC Express is seamlessly integrated with EBSCO’s A-to-Z® service, enabling A-to-Z clients to manage their WebFeat systems from the same easy-to-use console used for serials management.

Las Vegas - Clark County Library District (LVCCLD) has launched a custom WebFeat Search Prism solution as part of a major technology upgrade which included a new ILS system from Innovative Interfaces. LVCCLD now uses a custom WebFeat interface as the primary interface for its Innovative Interfaces powered catalog.
